AT SHERIDANE, WE DO NOT PUT STRANGE DOGS TOGETHER. OWNERS MAY TAKE THE CHANCE,
AT A DOG PARK, OF ALLOWING THEIR PET TO RUN LOOSE TO PLAY WITH STRANGE DOGS.

EVEN THERE THOUGH, NON-AGGRESSIVE, FRIENDLY DOGS CAN HAVE AN ARGUMENT OVER A TOY OR TREAT.
ONCE A FIGHT FRENZIE STARTS, IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STOP.
WHEN ONE DOG IS PULLED AWAY, THE OTHERS WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT.
IT TAKES ONE PERSON FOR EACH DOG, TO BREAK UP A FIGHT. SERIOUS INJURIES, OR WORSE CAN OCCUR.

AT A DOG PARK, A PERSON IS THERE FOR 'EVERY' DOG.
IN A PET CARE FACILITY, ONE PERSON IS RESPONSIBLE FOR 'MANY' DOGS.
Even with our 40 years of experience, we are not so arrogant,
that we can not admit that we cannot predict 100% of the time, when a fight might occur.

WE WILL NOT PUT YOUR PET AT RISK

While in our care, we spend the extra time to make sure your pets receive the
individual personal loving human attention that they deserve.

PLAYTIME HERE, MEANS ONE DOG (or dogs from same family) AT A TIME,

ALWAYS WITH A RESPONSIBLE ADULT, IN ONE OF OUR 3 FENCED PLAY AREAS.
OR, A LEISURELY WALK ON LEASH AROUND OUR 5 WOODED ACRES.

ALLOWING STRANGE DOGS LOOSE TO PLAY WITH EACH OTHER

It is actually more "normal" for a mature dog to NOT be able to "play nice"

with strange dogs in a dog park than it is for the dog to be able to do it!

Dogs in the wild are not "social" in the sense of making friends with every dog they meet.

This is a human idea, and currently a big fad among people with dogs.

It's causing a lot of serious problems.
